Here are some frequently asked questions to assist you with your sign-buying experience.

Can the department place out signs they have purchased or created themselves?All directional signage placed on any campus must adhere to the signage protocol established by the Department of Parking, Sustainability and Transportation.

What type of signage can be displayed on campus?Driving directional (will lead guests to the designated parking lot, area or garage) and sidewalk directional signs (will lead guests to the event location, building, room, etc.) can be placed on any campus.

Can lawn signs be placed on campus?Lawn signs are not permitted on campus.

What information can be displayed on a sign? Verbiage or logos can be displayed on signs. For verbiage, please reach out to the Department of Parking, Sustainability & Transportation for review.

How many signs will I need for my event?This can be determined once an Event Request Form has been submitted and the details of the event are reviewed.

Will the department be able to keep the signs after the event is over? Event signs are kept with the Department of Parking, Sustainability and Transportation and are stored for future events. Please visit our inventory log to verify your department/event has existing signage.

Is the department responsible for placing signs on the day of the event? Signage placement will be assigned by the Department of Parking, Sustainability and Transportation Scheduling Team in accordance to the information provided by the department hosting the event.
